ESPN2 Will Air World Championship Matches for Street Fighter V Live from Evo 2016

The Evolution Championship Series (also known as EVO or Evo) is the world’s largest fighting game event held annually. Over the course of three days, Evo hosts a variety of fighting game tournaments, exhibitions, and a BYOC (Bring Your Own Console) area for players to set up their own side tournaments or to just play for fun.

This year’s Evo 2016 will take place from July 15-16th at the Las Vegas Convention Center and finals will be held on Sunday, July 17th at the 12,000 seat Mandalay Bay Events Center.

More than 5,000 people have signed up to take part in Sunday’s Street Fighter V tournament, setting a new record for the first game to reach this milestone.

ESPN2 will air live coverage of the Street Fighter V World Championship Matches beginning Sunday 10 pm EST / 7 pm PST. All of Sunday’s finals will also be broadcast on Twitch.
