Depending on the type of footage you would like to film, early morning flights have the best chance of seeing desert wildlife, such as big horn sheep, while late afternoon flights have gorgeous views as the sun sets over the desert landscape. However, if you are looking for various species of lizards, afternoon flights have a better chance of seeing lizards on the mountain.
Traveling at speeds up to 60+ mph from 3800 feet above sea level, a group of experienced camera operators flying down the aerial trail system will get to experience a rush of adrenaline as they work, and with more than 1.5 miles of zip line over the course of four separate runs, there are plenty of opportunities to capture interesting photos and videos.
Safety and security are of the utmost importance with Flightlinez Bootleg Canyon, so adhering to all of the requirements ensures proper performance of all equipment and safety measures. If you plan on doing any filming while flying down a zipline, note that your device must be hands-free. There are also weight restrictions to ensure that the independent braking system works correctly, so be sure that the camera operator meets the requirements if you need to capture footage during a flight. Currently, only people weighing between 75-250 lbs are allowed to fly.
