Maintained and operated by the Nevada Test Site Historical Society, the Atomic Testing Museum makes accessible to the public historic artifacts, records, films and photographs associated with the Nevada Test Site.
Through interactive computers, timeline displays and 5 different movie venues you can learn about world events leading up to the establishment of the Nevada Test Site and follow the progression from the first above ground tests to underground tests and non-nuclear activities.
Houses a replica of the Control Point where the countdown was conducted before each nuclear detonation. The Ground Zero Theater provides a simulation of an above ground test and a reflection of the history of atomic testing.
