What Are Production Vehicles?

Production vehicles for film, television and photography are automobiles that are rented or leased to a production company for the purpose of using them both for on-screen filming and behind-the-scenes as trailers for cast and crew.

Companies that specialize in providing production vehicles offer a variety of services:

Transportation and Delivery
They can offer to help transport equipment and multiple vehicles from location to location.

Professional Driver
They can provide you with professional drivers with lots of experience behind the wheel.

Specialty Vehicles
If your production is set in a specific time period (past or future) or in a foreign country, these companies will help locate vehicles for you that match the production’s theme.

Custom Rigging
If you need to break a windshield or show a car exploding after a collision, there are also companies who can design and build custom cars as well as modify existing ones to accommodate specific camera angles, stunts and other damages that will be done to the car.

Branding and Graphics
Production vehicle companies also offer design services for painting or wrapping vehicles.

They have everything from motorhomes to star trailers, camera cars, honeywagons, vans, stake beds, fire trucks, vintage and exotic cars, military and police vehicles, motorcycles, scooters, and more.
