The film 21 is a 2008 adaptation of the book “Bringing Down the House” by Ben Mezrich, which is about the true story of a team of card-counting MIT graduates who win millions of dollars playing Blackjack in Las Vegas casinos. 21 was a box office hit, becoming the number one film in the U.S. and Canada during the first two weekends of its release.

Nevada Filming Locations
21 was filmed on location in Las Vegas, NV. Most of the scenes were shot at casinos such as Caesars Palace, Hard Rock Hotel, the Venetian, Red Rock Casino, and Planet Hollywood. Director Robert Luketic noted that some casinos did not want to glamorize cheating, so they did not allow filming inside their properties. However, other casinos welcomed the production with open arms, and Planet Hollywood and the Hard Rock Hotel even allowed the production to shut down entire sections for filming (source).
