Locally shot Indie film Art of the Dead is the highly anticipated Mahal horror film described by the Las Vegas Sun as a “contemporary Vegas twist” on the Oscar Wilde classic philosophical novel ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’. The Mahal brothers Michael and Sonny created the story concept and hired horror movie veteran Rolfe Kanesfsky to write and direct it.

Starring Tara Reid (of the first Mahal horror film Party Bus to Hell and the American Pie film series) and Richard Grieco (21 Jump Street television series), Art of the Dead is about a collection of paintings that unleash horror on an unsuspecting family after the father, Dylan Wilson, purchases them to hang in his wealthy estate.

The paintings represent the seven deadly sins, and the only person who knows about the history of artist Dorian Wilde and the pact he made with dark forces when he created the paintings is Father Mendale.

Now, anyone who comes in contact with these pictures are corrupted by Pride, Lust, Gluttony, Sloth, Greed, Envy, and Wrath. It is up to Father Mendale and Dylan’s son’s girlfriend Kim to save Dylan and his family before they are all destroyed by the Art of the Dead.
