Jackie Jackson of the world famous Jackson family recently founded his own music label called Critically Amused. Representing a variety of genres from electronic dance music (EDM) to island-influenced reggae and everything inbetween, Critically Amused has also just signed its first two acts, Gold Lemonade and D.B.L.
Gold Lemonade consists of a unique duo – French born DJ & producer Lya Lewis and Caribbean hip-hop rooted Jvgg Spvrrow. Lewis was actually discovered by Jackson right here in Las Vegas, NV. She and her friend were taking a smoke break in the courtyard of Panera Bread, where they caught the attention of Jackson and his wife. After finding out that Lewis was a DJ from France and listening to her music as well as some samples she sent with Spvrrow’s vocals, Jackson decided that the two of them would be an incredible team to sign.
Gold Lemonade has started off strong, and they have already released a couple of music videos that were filmed in Nevada. The music video for “Many Times,” the first track from their first EP “Summer Lime,” was filmed in the Las Vegas Arts District, the Las Vegas Strip, and right outside of Lake Las Vegas.
