Released in 1998, Lethal Weapon 4 is the final installment of the Lethal Weapon series. It is an action comedy film starring Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, Joe Pesci, Rene Russo, Chris Rock, and Jet Li. In this fourth Lethal Weapon film, LAPD Sergeant Martin Riggs (Gibson) and LAPD Sergeant Roger Murtaugh (Glover) partner with Detective Lee Butters (Rock) to investigate an immigrant smuggling ring operating out of a Chinatown restaurant.

Nevada Filming Location

A car chase scene from Lethal Weapon 4 was filmed in Las Vegas, NV. The I-215 from Pecos Road to Windmill Lane was closed for two weeks, and the production hired 50 local extras to drive their vehicles along the roadway (source). The producers of the film also donated $5,000 to Child Haven, a local shelter for abused children, and even took them on a tour of the set.
