Scene In Nevada: Race to Witch Mountain

Race to Witch Mountain is a 2009 remake of the 1975 Disney film Escape to Witch Mountain. Starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, AnnaSophia Robb, and Alexander Ludwig, the film takes place near Searchlight, Nevada. Johnson plays Jack Bruno, a Las Vegas taxi cab driver who ends up picking up two siblings who offer him $15,000 to drive them to their destination. Jack soon discovers that the siblings have paranormal powers and he must help protect them from an organization that wants to use the teens for their nefarious plans.

Although most of the film was shot in California, a few weeks were spent in 2008 filming throughout the Las Vegas Strip and in downtown Las Vegas, as well as at beautiful Red Rock Canyon.
