12th Annual UNLV 48-Hour Short Film Contest
November 7, 2014 - November 9, 2014
The Department of Film and the UNLV Short Film Archive are sponsoring the 12th annual 48-Hour Short Film Contest from Friday, November 7th through Sunday, November 9th on the campus of UNLV.
The filmmaker entrants show up at 6:00pm on Friday and are given four elements that they must use in their film: a genre, a prop, a character and a line-of-dialogue (everyone gets different elements by blind draw). Entrants then have 48-hours to write, cast, shoot, edit & score their shorts using these four randomly selected elements. Filmmakers then return to the UNLV campus 48 hours later and all the completed films are screened, judged and winners announced.
The event takes place in CBC A-106 on the campus of UNLV and is free and open to the public.
Rules and entry forms are available in the Film Office or on Facebook:
Entry Deadline is 5pm, Friday, October 24, 2014.
