Established in 1990, Pahrump Valley Winery’s current owners Bill and Gretchen Loken took over in 2003 and have made quite the name for themselves ever since. Voted “Best Nevada Winery” three years in a row and receiving more than 485 national wine awards, Pahrump Valley Winery is Nevada’s largest producing winery.
Multiple vineyards located throughout the state provide a variety of homegrown grapes, and a recent $1.7 million expansion that was completed in late 2018 added an extra 7,000 square feet to their facility to accommodate new machinery and equipment that makes the bottling and labeling process much more efficient and streamlined. Prior to the expansion, the bottling line produced about 500 bottles of wine an hour with 8 people to now 2,000 bottles an hour with just 3 people.
This film-friendly winery offers a multitude of state-of-the-art systems and features, including:
- Stainless steel fermentation tanks
- All-new bottling line
- Grape crushing and pressing equipment
- Refrigeration and cooling system
- Oak barrel room for aging wine
- Tasting room
- Guest lounge
- Sustainable vineyards
- Upgraded landscaped grounds
- An award-winning “upscale casual” restaurant, Symphony’s
