Location Details
Colonnade Hotel in Eureka, NV was built for the Italian Benevolent Society and used for five years. Left vacant for twenty years and used as an annex for the Zadow Hotel across the street. An illegal still operation during prohibition resulted in an explosion that charred much of the interior of the building. Purchased in 1946 by the Sallaberry family and operated as a Basque rooming house then a hotel with 23 rooms and 3 shared bathrooms. Sold in 1999 and turned into a private residence. In 2020 and 2022, two spaces were renovated and turned into short term rentals. Exterior renovations continue and the building has taken on a fresh yet historic look.
