Location Details
El Cortez was built in 1941 as one of the first hotel casino properties in town and the first hotel casino built as such downtown. El Cortez is on the National Register of Historic places thanks to the original 1941 building being preserved as original. Property has gone through significant upgrades, but it still looks and feels like a historic property. El Cortez is family owned and operated so we are able to accommodate film projects with quick and reasonable approval for the right projects. Our neon is iconic and there is access to roofs and other areas with great sign and property backdrops.
