Lay the Favorite is a 2012 comedy drama film directed by Stephen Frears and starring Bruce Willis, Rebecca Hall, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Joshua Jackson. The film is based on American writer and journalist Beth Raymer’s memoir, Lay the Favorite: A Memoir of Gambling.
The film follows the story of a young woman who moves from Florida to Las Vegas, becomes a cocktail waitress, and discovers the world of sports gambling.
