Surrounded by majestic mountains and stationed next to a mission-like tower, Pahrump is believed to be named after the original Paiute word Pah-Rimpi, or “Water Rock,” because of the abundance of natural springs in the area.

Water Rock Ranch is owned by Pepper Jay, an accomplished music producer, speaker, actress, author, teacher, and former attorney (source). This makes the ranch an ideal filming location to utilize due to Jay’s background and experience in the entertainment industry.

Water Rock Ranch’s filmography includes a few student film shorts as well as the teaser for the post-apocalyptic action film Ride Hard: Live Free.
