Scene In Nevada: Ghost Adventures

The hit Travel Channel Show Ghost Adventures has been frightening audiences for nearly 10 years and 15 seasons. The show follows ghost hunters Zak Bagans (also intro and narration), Nick Groff (through season 10), and Aaron Goodwin as they travel across the country investigating locations believed to be haunted. The show has even investigated several international haunts in Italy, Romania, France, and Jamaica among others.

Each show, the ghost hunters are “locked in” overnight to investigate and document paranormal activity. Over the years, the production has traveled to many small corners of the country in several different states, including right here in Nevada. Ghost Adventures has filmed 17 episodes in various haunts throughout Nevada.

What some fans of the show might not know is that Ghost Adventures was actually an independent film first. A documentary style film that premiered on the Syfy Channel in 2007 followed the three ghost hunters along on an investigation into paranormal activity at the Old Washoe Club in Virginia City, NV and the Goldfield Hotel in Goldfield, NV.

The film launched their careers, and in several of the episodes, the crew revisit several of their old haunts here in Nevada where they captured some of their most compelling paranormal evidence. You can check out the trailer for the original film below.

Although many of the episodes are filmed in some of Nevada’s spookiest ghost towns, the crew has also investigated a few places in Las Vegas. The Riviera Hotel and Casino has been investigated a few times for paranormal activity as well as a mansion called La Palazza, which was thought to be haunted.

Ghost Adventures airs on the Travel Channel with new episodes coming in March 2018.
