Scene In Nevada: Return To Amish

Breaking Amish is a 2012 show from TLC about five young Anabaptist adults (four Amish and one Mennonite) who move to New York City in order to experience a different life and decide whether to return to their communities or remain outside their communities and face potential ostracism by their family and friends. The show followed them through their real world experiences and the drama and heartache of relationships for the first time.

In 2014, TLC introduced Return To Amish, a spinoff that revisited the Season 1 cast and continued to follow their lives back in their Pennsylvania hometown of Punxsutawney. After that, TLC decided to rebrand Breaking Amish into Return to Amish and it was no longer considered a spinoff.

Although the show and its cast have endured a great deal of controversy, the show has continued for the last several years with the most recent Season 6 expanding to two hour episodes.

The season finale for Season 6 titled “Amish Pair-O-Dice” filmed in Las Vegas, NV and aired in June 2017. In the episode, Mary offers to take Jeremiah and Carmela to Las Vegas for the honeymoon they never had. On the morning of the flight, Mary breaks her ankle so Abe accompanies them as well.

While in Las Vegas, Jeremiah asks Carmela to renew their vows and she accepts, despite being skeptical that it will fix their relationship problems. Eventually, Rebecca and Sabrina join them and all reconcile and enjoy the vow ceremony.

The episode filmed at a variety of locations throughout Las Vegas including the Las Vegas Strip, Fremont Street Experience and Downtown Las Vegas. The production filmed at many different hotels, casinos, and even a few wedding chapels around Las Vegas.

Some notable filming locations include The Mob Museum, New York New York Hotel & Casino, SLS Las Vegas, The Westin Las Vegas Hotel & Spa and Graceland Wedding Chapel to name a few.

You would think that the Amish life would be simple and drama free, but if you’ve ever watched the show, it is anything but that. You can catch the teaser trailer for the “Amish Pair-O-Dice” episode below.
