The series is hosted by film and television actor William Fichtner, world champion drag racer Antron Brown, and British automotive journalist Tom “Wookie” Ford.

Top Gear America will review not just exclusive and state-of-the-art vehicles, but also the cars of America’s culture-defining past.

From the latest supercars to the ultimate in automotive engineering technology, Top Gear America puts the viewer in the passenger seat as they race the most incredible vehicles on the scenic highways and historic tracks of the American west.

Each week features a different celebrity competing for top honor on the leaderboard at the new Top Gear studio and track, SPEEDVEGAS.

The Production’s Origination

The original Top Gear series first aired in 1977 on the BBC in the UK as a thirty minute monthly program, and it ran until 2001. A revamped hour-long, studio-based format of the show was picked up and broadcast a year later. Now in its 24th season, the UK show actually had a few episodes from Season 19 filmed in several locations throughout Nevada (source).
